In my 46 years as a dance educator, I feel this is one of the most important projects I have ever had the pleasure to present. This is me at 66, thinking completely outside the square, presenting the entire PBT for families to do together at home and enjoy an hour and a half of daily exercise to keep your mind and body stimulated.
Don’t worry if you don’t have all the PBT equipment. All our wonderful directors alongside myself have come up with fabulous substitute props you may have around the house. I feel extremely fortunate to work with a professional videographer who was booked as part of the film team for the new Elvis Movie filmed in Australia. The movie is on hold at present due to the COVID 19. He was able to visit my home and remain the required distance from me so as to try to get the entire PBT family program to you as quickly as possible.
I hope you are all well. Stay motivated! Together we can get through this and enjoy a little laugh along the way. I have a completely new skill set at 66! 🙌
I don’t think I’ve EVER chosen my words more carefully and descriptively as I do teaching over Zoom.
So much is lost over a camera- you can’t touch to correct & students can’t see the details of your body- so language is probably the most challenging hurdle at the moment.
Not to mention our voices are probably echoing throughout the student’s house 🤦🏼♀️. Never before have I thought, “Don’t say anything stupid, Emily”, so often. #godsavetheteachers
