My #4Days4Life time with Dolly Parton:
"When I got Dolly home, the first thing she did was go to the bathroom in my yard. She hasn't had any accidents, and I've left her alone in the house when I leave for multiple hours; she doesn't like the kennel at all.
She is a total dream on the leash. She is interested in other dogs, but I simply hold her next to me and tell her to wait and she doesn't lunge or bark at all, even if the other dog is barking. When she's introduced to other dogs slowly she gets along fine, but can be a bit territorial over her handler's attention.
Last night, when I was writing on my computer, she just laid there with her head on my leg and fell asleep. When I roused her to do my bedtime routine, she settled back in and we fell asleep holding paws.
She woke me up a couple times during the night, until we figured out that she just needed her own pillow!
She responds very well to humming and singing when she is worked up around new people or other dogs. It calms her right down. But she is very friendly with company and loves everyone she meets.
She loves having her face grabbed and kissed. She really just wants to be held and pet. Doesn't play fetch from what I can tell, but sits on command, and comes running when I call her."
Message us to be put in touch with Dolly Parton's foster mama! 💘

A truly happy, people-oriented little man, "Little Blue" is as adorable as he is sweet. Sadly, this 4 yrs old boy came to the shelter on July 8, 2016 as part of a court case involving another animal. We are not privy to the details, but we do know he has been sitting in a kennel for more than a year (original intake at West Valley Shelter). Still, he's as lovable as can be. He’s easy and cooperative and loves playing fetch. He is also affectionate and loves rolling over for belly rubs from his people friends. But this tail wagger needs a hero! PLEASE SHARE FOR RESCUE!
Help give him that SECOND CHANCE that he deserves.
