"Here is Maxwell, now Sir Maxwell. His skin is being treated and greatly improved! It's getting better by the day! He got spoiled today with a blue leather collar. I love him beyond words and he now enjoys a life of leisure and love with me, my sons and his bulldog sister Queen Frankie. Thank you for blessing us with this incredible boy. He was truly meant to be here and makes every day wonderful. He’s truly my baby! Thank you again, and I pray every day for you all." You are Sir Maxwell's Angel!! Thank you for your passion and devotion to this Beautiful Boy!
Hi, my name is Dozer and my foster mom says I am quite the catch (not that she’s biased). Some interesting things about me:
– I love to play fetch, inside or outside, I’m easy
– I love my stuffies, they are my favourite
– Although I am shy and timid in new situations and with new people if you just give me time to adjust I am so worth it
– I currently live with two terrier mixes (30lbs), I wouldn’t mind having another chill dog in the house
– I’m left free roaming with my foster brothers while my mom is at work
– I’m house trained, no accidents
– I’m good in the car
– Not bad on leash, although I do perk up when I see rabbits, but come on, who doesn’t?
– I like being with my people, my foster mom calls me her shadow
Overall, I’m a pretty chill big guy who is just looking for a family to call my own, you in?
Dover is approximately 8 years old and weighs 105 lbs.

Uh-oh got a vestibular disease 🙃😳🤷♂️ #felixproblems#olddogvestibulardisease
We have had a very eventful month! Felix started having severe balance issues and nausea, and it was clear something pretty serious was happening in his brain (swipe for videos). We are so lucky to have access to amazing veterinary care (especially our regular vet Dr. Alexander at Seaford Veterinary Medical Center) so we could make sure Felix was as comfortable as possible while we figured out what was going on. Symptoms like Felix’s can either be caused by problems with the inner ear, which can just happen randomly in older dogs (basically like vertigo in humans!), or can be a sign of something more serious (like a brain lesion or tumor)
I am so grateful to report that in the last week, Felix has almost completely recovered (last video in the series is from earlier this week)! This is a sign that his issues are just isolated vestibular disease and not something more serious. In these cases, dogs usually recover completely, minus a residual head tilt and a bit of a crooked walk (link in bio with info about vestibular disease). Obviously with an older dog like Felix, things can change at any time, so we are appreciating every day with him. But for the moment we are all feeling pretty relieved and thankful he’s still with us and feeling so much better, and hopeful about his prognosis. 😌❤️
PS this means we will be back to posting regularly! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and kind words while we took some time to focus on Felix’s health 🥰📸
