Did another TWIST OUT and as always, I like to share my methods and processes, in case it helps someone.
So here’s what I did;
1⃣Firstly, I washed, deep conditioned, moisturised & lightly detangle. But since it was a late night wash day session, I decided to create my ‘twist out’ the following day and quickly twisted my hair for bed.
2⃣The next day I undid my twists, spritzed my hair with water and added some @Edenbodyworks hydrating custard throughout each section and created roughly 10-12 twists per quarter (I always work in 4 sections).
3⃣I left the twists in for 3 days, undid them and carefully separated each twist 3 times. Btw, I added some oil to the tips of my fingers (when unravelling) to reduce frizz.
There’s a super quick video clip showing parts of the process, so make sure you swipe...😉
Sleek ponytail and laid edges on a old wash and go with type 4 hair.
@hairisforever5 Just released their new Ever’s edge balms and it had my edges laid for 2 days straight with out any flaking or white residue.
Although the clear one is formulated for relaxed hair I wanted to see if it would work on my natural hair so I tried both. I applied the clear one to the right side (low ponytail) and pink to the left side. I did notice that the pink one, which is formulated for natural hair, has a slightly firmer hold. Aside from that I didn’t notice any other differences.
Both edge balms have a light fruity scent that isn’t overpowering and it glides on and absorbs easily. A little goes a long way.
Usually I have to wash my edges and reapply after day 2 because of build up but there wasn’t any build up left on my hair.
I applied the balm and styled it with my edge brush. If you know/have been following for the past year, then you know I’m obsessed with it. Not only is it a brush, it also has the applicator attached to it so you no longer have to stick your finger in it to apply your edge control.
